A continuation......

I have been pretty busy lately and haven't had time to write a blog in a while, so I forgot to include some photos last night. A couple of weekends ago we all went for a hike on one of the trails at the Junior College campus here in Ridgecrest. Brandon reminded me a lot of my self as a child, as he was determined to stay just a few steps ahead of Tom and I. However, it eventually caught up to him and he and his bear had to take a little rest :)
Brandon and Wes have become inseparable lately, which is so nice to see! Except Wes has been really fighting his naps since it is right after Brother comes home from school. Today I put Wes in his room and Brandon heard him whining, so he said, "Mommy he doesn't want to go to bed! Can you please let him out? I want to play with him--I love him!" It also makes it tough because Wes is so miserable if he can't be with Brother during baseball and school. He has now started kicking and crying when we drop off Brandon at school, and he screams, "Brother! No, I want Brother!!" This picture was when we took Brandon to the baseball
diamond around the corner to practice. Both
Brandon and Wes lost interest quickly and
started running around playing. We finally
got Brandon into practicing, but Wes was
bored stiff and tried to escape to get back to
the car. Also, a picture of Brandon and Wes
getting into the "Geepes."

Oh, and thank you for the thoughtful Easter gifts, Gigi and Pa. Of course Brandon was absolutely thrilled to get something with 'Spidy' on it, and Wes was just as excited! Brandon had me inflate it right away and he ran to put on his black spidy suit. Wes was enamored by his fishy lamp and would get quite angry with me when I turned it off!

Go Yankees!

Brandon's first baseball game was a success!
He and his team mates seemed to have a
really good time, and it was so fun for the parents to watch their little ones attempting
to throw the ball in the right direction and trying to figure out what base to run to next! Brandon got a big hit in his first time up to bat, so he was pretty proud of himself! These are pictures of him in his little Yankees uniform and one of him practicing his swing on deck. While he wasn't doing that, he was trying to stay awake in the outfield :). The coach needed a team
mom, so I volunteered, which is a good way to meet people
and get involved. So, I've been taking walks pretty much on a daily basis with one of the other moms, who has a little
girl who is Wes' age. They have become good little
buddies, as they chat it up while they ride next
to each other in their jogging strollers. Here is
a picture of Wes, ready for his walk with little
Ginny, with in his hat for a sun shade and his beverage.
Wes is, of course, becoming more and more independent every day! He has started showing signs of wanting to be potty trained--yay! He has also become determined to brush his teeth on his own, which makes it difficult for me to just help him out a little, as he is definitely a stubborn little one!! This picture I took tonight; he is so proud that he is doing it all on his own :)

Well, Easter is coming rapidly! We plan on staying in Ridgecrest and having an Easter egg hunt and a proper Easter dinner with some friends in the neighborhood. There is also a big Easter egg hunt here on base on Saturday that we plan on taking the boys to. We hope everyone has a very Happy Easter!
